O.K., You've decided to sell goods and services on the Internet. You've also
decided to do so using the multitude of affiliate programs that exist on
the World Wide Web. Great! There's plenty of money to be made selling other
peoples products and the benefits are many.
Sign up is usually free. (I take exception with programs requiring me to
spend my own money to sell their products.)
Upon Sign Up you'll recieve a package to market with. It usually comes
with text ads, banner ads, solo ads, all
linked to your unique sales page. You then use these tools to drive traffic
to your new sales page.
Well that's easy enough, Right? Remarkably it does work. However,
Converting your traffic to sales is very, very slim. You'll need thousands
and thousands of visitors before you see your first sale.
So, After spending a lot of time, effort, and money getting all of those
visitors to your affiliate sales page, you finally
make a sale and earn a referral fee or commission. To ad insult to injury,
you discover your commission doesn't
reach the minimum payout and you can't get paid until it reaches that
minimum. So back you go to get another sale and finally get paid.
Probably next month.
GOOD GRIEF!
Don't despair! Affiliate Marketing is a great way to make money, and Lots
of It, You just have to know some of the secrets. Here's one. "Don't send
visitors directly to your affiliate sales page." There's a four step
process that works quite well.

Find those 4 Steps Below.
1. First, Providing something of value is a Must. The most valuable
thing you can give away is information. Not just any old information that
can be found by doing a 10 minute search, But Unique Information that will
help your visitors solve a problem. An informative email course, special
report, or ebook that you've written are all great ways to give away free
information. What's that? You haven't written anything 'cause you can't
write.
Well, If that's a problem maybe I can help. Recently, there have been
quite a few Private Label Content sites that provide subscribers with content they
can use in every way imaginable. Such as email courses, special reports, or
ebooks. Ring any bells? I use InfoGoRound which is Top of the Line. They even
provide an option which allows you to enjoy your subscription at no cost to you.
2. No email address No information. You must capture the name and email
address of your prospective sale in order to be able to implement the
next step.
3. The information that you are providing must be good and must help
people, If not then you will not earn their trust. If you get information
that saves you time, money, or effort; then you are probably going to
read anything that they send you - as long as the information is still
valuable. This is why it is so important that you get that name and email
address before you start giving away your information. Now you can stay
in touch via an occasional email to your prospect.
4. Finally, Providing value and building trust are the main ingredients of
successful marketing. People that have been helped by you, have learned
to trust you, are more likely to buy from you. This is especially true
if you can convince them that what you are recommending will help them and
that it is worth their money. The easiest way to do this is to
recommend something that you have actually purchased and use yourself.
Just tell them how it helped you and why you think that it was worth what
you paid for it!
